THANK YOU FROM BRADFORD BEACH - SUMMER 2010 WAS ONE FOR THE AGES
On behalf of Bradford Beach thank to our sponsors, Milwaukee County, Milwaukee County Parks, Milwaukee County Sheriff's Department and the special interest partners for a successful and safe season.  2010 was an unbelievable summer at Bradford Beach that featured expanded services, a weekly acoustic music series, beach cabanas, larger sports leagues and the return of the top beach volleyball players in the world to the sand of our beach.
 
Bradford Beach continues to be a major destination for those living in or outside of Milwaukee.  We will be working hard this winter to expand on what has made Bradford so popular as well as look at new ideas that will improve the services, programs and environs for all to enjoy.
 
Despite our successes there remains much room for improvement.  My partners Scott Johnson and Leslie Montemurro and I are looking into solutions to improve the daily features and services of Bradford Beach.  In addition, a special thank you to the hard work of our staff led by Kristyn St. Denis and Liz Pawlenty.  Their attention to the day-today operation was at the center of what made the beach work this past summer.
 
In closing, no matter what the future of Bradford Beach will end up being, we all of have helped transform not only Bradford Beach, but the entire lakefront as a place where great, organic, publicly accessible activities can take place.  Bradford Beach was identified as the top beach in the Midwest and has become on a national scale an example for other beaches to follow.  That is something we can all be proud of.  So thank you to those who continue to support Bradford Beach and see you next summer.
