Bradford Beach is excited to announce the formation of the Team Bradford Beach Junior Beach Volleyball Program for boys and girls between the ages of 11 and 19 for summer 2013.  Team Bradford Beach is the evolution of the popularity of junior focused beach volleyball programs and tournaments held over the past three years at Bradford Beach.   

Team Bradford Beach Juniors will offer two programs that will focus on player and team development for Sand Doubles.   Team Elite program is designed for experienced volleyball players interested in competing in sand doubles at a high skill level.  Team Bradford Beach program is an introduction to sand doubles for players with limited playing experience.

In addition, Bradford Beach will host for the second consecutive year the US Junior Beach Volleyball National Championships on July 26^th-28^th where we hope many of our team players will compete to defend Bradford Beach and earn the right of national champions.

Team Bradford Beach Juniors will feature two programs.

TEAM BRADFORD BEACH ELITE:

Team Elite will be under the guidance of head coaches Eric Sullivan (Marquette University HS) and Gary Tome (Wauwatosa East HS).  Both Coach Sullivan and Coach Tome are exceptional indoor and beach coaches with extensive experience both as a coach and as a player.  This program will be designed for high skill level boys and girls junior volleyball players between the ages of 11 to 19.  The program highlights are as follow:

·        6 week program with bi-weekly 90 minute training sessions held Monday & Wednesday for Boys and Tuesday & Thursday for Girls.   Weekly program runs from June 17^th through July 25^th.  

·        Age groups are (a) 11-13 from 9am to 10:45am; (b) 14-16 from 11am to 12:45am; (c) 17-19 from 1pm to 2:45pm.

·        Training sessions are limited to 24 players per age group.

·        Maximum Coach to player ratio is 1 coach to 8 players.

·        Each player will be taught the game of Sand Doubles including all preparation, skills, knowledge and intangibles crucial to becoming a successful beach volleyball player.  Players will compete is simulated games during each training session.

·        Players register individually with or without specifying a partner.  Coaches will make partner selections from other Team Bradford Beach Junior athletes if a player does not specify a partner.

·        Registration fee is $250.00 per player.  Registration fee includes Team Bradford Beach competition top, Spalding King of the Beach Volleyball and lunch at Bradford Beach during each training session.

·        For an additional fee, Team Bradford Beach Juniors can fulfill arrangements for team participation complete with coaches in two tournaments hosted Bradford Beach on June 23^rd (US Junior Midwest Qualifier) and July 26-28^th (US Junior National Championships) will be recommended.

TEAM BRADFORD BEACH:

Team Bradford is an Introduction to Beach Volleyball is designed for junior players will little or no prior beach volleyball experience.  This will be an 8 week program with 1 practice per week under of the guidance of Team Bradford Beach coaching staff.

·        8 week program with weekly 75 minute training sessions held Monday for Boys and Girls ages 11 to 13 and Tuesday for Boys and Girls age 14-16.   Weekly program runs from June 3^rd through July 23^rd.

·        Monday session age groups are 11-13 from 5:45pm to 7:15pm.

·        Tuesday session age groups are 14-16 from 5:45pm to 7:15pm.

·        Training sessions are limited to 12 players per gender and/or 24 players per group.

·        Maximum Coach to player ratio is 1 coach to 8 players.

·        Each player will be taught the game of Sand Doubles including all skills, knowledge and intangibles crucial to becoming a successful beach volleyball player.  Players will compete is simulated games during each training session.

·        Players register individually with or without specifying a partner.  Coaches will make partner selections from other Team Bradford Beach Junior athletes if a player does not specify a partner.

·        Registration fee is $125.00per player.  Registration fee includes Team Bradford Beach t-shirt.

HOW TO REGISTER:

Registration for each program will open March 8^th.  To register for each program, please do so online at bradford.bracketpal.com.  Click on Team Bradford Beach Juniors and then select appropriate program.  There is a 10% early registration discount for all entries received prior to April 29^th.  Registration deadline is May 20^th at 5pm.  

LOCATION:

All Team Bradford Beach Junior training sessions and tournaments will be held at Bradford Beach, 2400 N. Lincoln Memorial Drive, Milwaukee 53202.  

TOURNAMENTS:

June 23^rd – US Junior Open Midwest Qualifier, Bradford Beach.

July 26^th – 28^th – US Junior Open National Championships, Bradford Beach
